Finally put that Bavauto Certificate to use
Nothing exciting here, but I did need a new set of Floor mats. I had purchased a set of E46 M3 mats a few years back because they had the ///M symbol stitched in but the mats were not the correct size, so the drivers side floor mat would slide around all the time. So having been given a $100 gift certificate from Bavarian AutoSport, I decided to pick up a set of their “Ultimate Floor Mats”.
These carpets looked the part but we did have a problem. They are not allowed to use the BMW specific lettering on their custom stitched floor mats.
At first this seemed like a problem, but then a bulb lit up over my head. Why not just put “Joey’s M3″ on the mats?
I know some of you will think it’s corny but I don’t mind it. Although, I’m not 100% happy with how the stitching actually came out but it will be good to have the mats sitting properly in the E30. I thought it was going to be matted down around letters like this:
Proper Stitching
I’m considering contacting Bavauto on this so that they can send me a new ones.
Anyways, here they are:

If you haven't already figured it out, my name is Joey and this site is dedicated to my 1989 E30 M3. I've owned an E30 since 1995 and absolutely adore the body style. Not only will I share photos and video from different events that I attend, but I'll also keep everyone updated on my project cars.
