Seeing photos of this engine swap is what inspired me to go the S54 route. This is by far the most stock-looking swap I have ever seen AND it’s running the factory ECU.

Hopefully Lulu doesn’t mind me sharing these photos. This engine bay looks so clean!

The engine was listed on ebay from Axis Motors LLC out of Oregon. A day or two after buying the engine I realized that I had bought the SMG version which would not be so easy to install in the E30, so I gave Axis a call.

According to Alex it wouldn’t be a problem. They were about to begin removing another S54 with similar mileage WITHOUT the SMG and as long as I was ok to wait a few more days, he would send that combo instead. Alex made the transaction so easy and was very accommodating. They had great feedback on Ebay so I highly recommend you purchase from them if you can.

On top of the transaction being so smooth, the engine looks BRAND NEW!! (see pics)

Many thanks goes out to Alex and co.(from Axis Motors LLC) for making it all so easy!

I had the engine sent directly to Rui Azevedo’s shop in NJ. He did my Euro S50 swap back in 2010 and I was very happy with the result. It’s there now and they’ve begun working on it. I’ve asked him to repaint the engine bay as well, since I wasn’t happy with the prior spray.

I hope to have some more content on here soon, so stay tuned!

Any of you who know me personally, know that one of my favorite shirts to wear is my M3NTAL shirt. I bought this from Enthusiast Apparel a while back along with one that had a BBS RS wheel on it ;) . I liked them soo much that I ordered another one. They’re very comfortable and fit great.

I’m super happy with the quality and will be ordering a few more very soon. ;)

I was in Australia for work and have been busy since. I hadn’t posted it up on here but I had my Euro S50B32 for sale for a little over a month. (I think)

Anyways, It recently sold and the buyer picked it up this afternoon. J seems like a really nice guy and I hope he enjoys this engine as much as I did. He’ll be dropping it into a 92 325is. I can’t wait to hear how much he loves all that new power in his car. I hope to have some pics of it as soon as it’s installed so stay tuned.

Now I begin my search for the perfect S54. If you know of anyone with a healthy one with low miles on it, please let me know!!

I’ll end this post with a couple pics of the engine after I removed it :(
